Why I started Karel FOL Management

After more than 30 years in Medical Devices, (Bio)pharma, and Cell and Gene Therapies, with a focus on Sales and Marketing, Market Access and General Management, and this at various levels including Flanders, Belgium, the Benelux region, Europe and even global, you begin to realise what you enjoy doing most.

Launching new and innovative products. Building something from scratch. Thinking out-of-the-box. Doing what no one has done before.
I have had the opportunity to do all of that throughout my career at different companies, but especially during my time at TiGenix and AveXis.

That is exactly why I founded my own management company. To support, consult, manage and lead startup companies such as university spin-offs and new European entities for companies from other continents.

In addition, I enjoy a few other fun activities like podcasting, moderating panel discussions and hosting events or keynote presentations on topics I am passionate about.

I leverage over 30 years of industry expertise in Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and General Management within the Medical Device, (Bio)Pharma, and Cell & Gene Therapy sectors to provide strategic guidance, operational leadership, and hands-on support.

I am dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry, helping visionary entrepreneurs navigate the complex journey from spin-off to market success.
